Is the Mediterranean Diet as Healthy as First Believed?
For decades, the Mediterranean diet has been the diet of choice for those who want a healthy lifestyle. It calls for meals rich with vegetables, fruits, fish, nuts and olive oil. It was supposed to help you lose weight and lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes. But the New England Journal of Medicine is now saying it's not so sure the Mediterranean diet works as well as first thought. The prestigious publication is now retracting its original findings as flawed.

THE PIOPPI PROTOCOL - The REAL Mediterranean Diet and its lost secrets to health and longevity
World renowned British Cardiologist Dr. Aseem Malhotra joins documentary film maker Donal O’Neill on a fascinating quest to uncover, interpret and translate the misunderstood secrets of Mediterranean longevity and heart health, from the place where it all began. The story takes us to Pioppi (Population 190), the tiny fishing village 2 hours south of Naples, officially recognised by UNESCO as the home of the Mediterranean Diet. In the 1960s, this remote Italian village was an unlikely epicentre of global nutritional research. It was from here that the iconic American scientist Ancel Keys would live and work amongst local residents, laying the foundations for a modern interpretation of the traditional Mediterranean Diet. No region – or era – has had a greater impact on global nutritional policies, but closer inspection reveals that much of the magic may have been lost in translation. What Is The Mediterranean Diet And Is It Right For You?
Do You Want To Get Ripped? https://rippeddude.com/ The Mediterranean diet is something you’ve likely heard of but probably haven’t tried. I believe that the Mediterranean diet is the most ideal style of eating for global advocation as we move into the future. Here's my case for the Mediterranean lifestyle. This video is based on what I call the "three pillars of the Mediterranean diet" (as outlined below): 1. Ethics, morality and agricultural degradation 2. Health and longevity 3. Social and logistical experiences 1. Ethics, morality and agriculture Clearly, the agricultural industry and anything involving meat and animal production are not good for the sustainability of the environment. Although I’m not a vegetarian, I’m close to it and I think this is likely as good as it will get for a large majority of the world. Vegetarians and more specifically vegans do have the ethical and moral high-ground in terms of environmental degradation because they eat much more sustainable and green-friendly diets. However, in saying, that I don’t think that you must be a strict vegan to be an ethical and moral person. The morality of animal suffering is subjective to the individual. This is why the Mediterranean diet (which reduces almost all red meat) and minimises overall dairy, poultry (to a somewhat moderate quantity), is a great move for general advocation to the majority of people disinterested in a health-centric lifestyle. 2. Health and longevity The Mediterranean diet has long been symbolic of good health. We see this with the Italian-Sardinian people or the Greeks living the island of Icaria. These people live to extremely old ages. Many researchers believe that this comes down to their diet (as well as other genetic and lifestyle factors). The generous amount of olive oil and seafood coupled with the foundation of plant-based food sources and the culture and social nature of these people creates an ideal scenario for longevity. We know that Mediterranean diets help those who are diabetic, obese, also with overall athletic performance and even with the reduction of the chance of cognitive decline (Alzheimer's, dementia). We also see noticeable improvements and the reduction of the chances of cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease, stroke and overall quality and length of life. 3. Social and logistical This is less important, but shouldn’t be overlooked. Because the Mediterranean diet includes such a wide variety of foods (including red wine) it means that one can be somewhat flexible in their diet and this still enjoy the logistical and social perks in their cities and stores and social circles. This means it’s easier to follow for longer and this equals greater sustainability; sustainability being synonymous with consistency and we know consistency is one of, if not the most important factor for the maintenance of optimal health. I think that coupled with intermittent fasting [or without] this diet will allow people to be healthy and improve their overall quality of life drastically if it is adhered to appropriately and for an extensive length of time.

How To Mediterranean Diet
What Is a Mediterranean Diet? "The Mediterranean Diet is a lifestyle where good taste meets good health," says Sara Baer-Sinnott, president of Oldways, the nonprofit food and nutrition group that first introduced the Mediterranean Diet Pyramid in 1993. There is no single Mediterranean diet. Instead, each region across Europe -- from Spain to the Middle East -- customizes the basic diet to take advantage of food availability and cultural preferences. Similarities include a reliance on plant foods such as vegetables, fruits, beans, whole grains, nuts, olives, and olive oil along with some cheese, yogurt, fish, poultry, eggs, and wine. These foods form the basis of the plan and provide thousands of micronutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fiber that work together to protect against chronic disease. Most of the foods on the plan are fresh, seasonal whole foods - they're not processed. Preparation methods tend to be simple; foods are rarely deep-fried. Only small amounts of saturated fat, sodium, sweets, and meat are part of the plan. The Mediterranean lifestyle also includes leisurely dining and regular physical activity, which are an important part of the equation. http://howcanitdo.blogspot.com http://howcanitdo.com

Keto, Paleo and Mediterranean DIETS explained | iBodyTV
Fitness coaches Andreea Tina and Lewis Bailey give us an explanation of popular diets such as the Keto diet, Paleo diet and Mediterranean diet. They also explain what macros are and what people mean when they say 'macros diet'. Follow all of our socials: Instagram: www.instagram.com/ibodytv or Twitter: twitter.com/iBodyTV Facebook: www.facebook.com/ibodytv/ Thank you to our guests: Lewis Bailey and Andreea Tina Filmed and Edited by: Isabel Raven Andrea: The keto diet, paleo diet, the macro diet, carb cycling diet, mediterranean diet - so for the keto diet because it’s a big one and everyone's talking about keto, keto, everyone wants to go keto - what is it? Lewis: Yeah so in essence the ketogenic diet is really focused on a high fat diet so you’re looking around about 70% of your intake should be from fat. So we’d say it's a lot of fat that you’re intaking. Your protein should be moderate to low and your carbohydrate intake needs to be very very low. And the whole point of it is to basically suppress your carbohydrate intake and then the energy that you get comes from the ketones within the blood and then the body starts running off of fat as a fuel Andrea: When you use the fat as an energy source the liver will start releasing these ketones and that’s how you’ll start burning fat as the main source of energy. So let’s talk about paleo now, what is a paleo diet? Lewis: Sure. Big, big fan of paleo aswell, paleo is focused on a higher based protein intake but it’s kinda going back to the way we used to eat back in the day, in caveman days, that’s kind of the philosophy behind it. So plenty of meat, a variety of meats, green vegetables is the primary science to the diet Andrea: nuts and seeds as well and a few berries because that’s what they could pick. So the macros diet because everyone talks about macros, what are macros, what are your macros lets elucidate the case Lewis: Ok with regards to macros, in essences there’s three key macronutrients and they are your proteins, your fats and carbohydrates - so there now split up in terms of how many calories are in each micronutrients. So one gram of protein is four calories, one gram of carbohydrate will also equate to four calories and one gram of fat equates to nine calories so that’s the split between the three macronutrients. Andrea: When people talk about macros dieting it’s literally counting how much micronutrients you get on your diet in order to reach your goals. So the mediterranean diet, I can see this is a great diet and it works so well for so many people, for me it works amazingly. That diet focuses on wholesome foods, high fibre foods, it's quite high in carbs but it’s good quality carbs and it’s got all the good monounsaturated oils such as olive oils, it’s low in protein, it’s high in the amount of carbs but all these high high fibre carbs and good quality oils. Lewis: it’s just a good blend basically of all the different nutrients but very very good, clean sources. Andrea: It’s a very balanced diet and I highly recommend it for anyone really

The Mediterranean Diet or a Whole Food Plant-Based Diet?

Mediterranean Diet and Atherosclerosis
What happens inside the arteries going to the hearts and brains of those who add nuts or extra virgin olive oil to their diet? Subscribe to Dr. Greger’s free nutrition newsletter at https://www.nutritionfacts.org/subscribe and get a free recipe from his new HOW NOT TO DIE COOKBOOK. (All proceeds Dr. Greger receives from the sales of his books, DVDs, and speaking engagements go to support the 501c3 nonprofit that runs NutritionFacts.org.) I bring up the Ornish back-and-forth in my latest annual live review Food as Medicine: Preventing and Treating our Most Dreaded Diseases with Diet (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/food-as-medicine), but then directly address the accusation that plant-based diets are marked by poor compliance for disease prevention and reversal. For more on the famous PREDIMED trial and the body of evidence surrounding Mediterranean diets, I’ve got a bunch of good videos for you: • Why Was Heart Disease Rare in the Mediterranean? (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/Why-Was-Heart-Disease-Rare-in-the-Mediterranean) • The Mediterranean Diet or a Whole Food Plant-Based Diet? You don’t want to know… but if you do, here you go: Low Carb Diets and Coronary Blood Flow (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/low-carb-diets-and-coronary-blood-flow/). What we eat doesn’t just have an impact on the structure of our arteries over the long-term (the thickening and narrowing described in the video), but the function of arteries within hours of consumption. To see what your breakfast may have done to your arteries check out: • Eggs and Arterial Function (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/eggs-and-arterial-function/) • Walnuts and Artery Function (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/walnuts-and-artery-function/) • Dark Chocolate and Artery Function (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/dark-chocolate-and-artery-function/) • Coffee and Artery Function (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/coffee-and-artery-function/) • Fatty Meals May Impair Artery Function (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/fatty-meals-may-impair-artery-function) • Olive Oil and Artery Function (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/olive-oil-and-artery-function) Note, though, the benefits of plant-based nutrition can be undermined by vitamin B12 deficiency if you don’t include a regular reliable source in your diet.

  • Papan nomor 2 - Minimum kosmetik

By the way, sebelum memilih krim untuk perawatan kulit, lebih baik untuk mengunjungi ahli kecantikan. Konsultasi yang menyenangkan tidak pernah sia-sia.

  • Tip # 6 - Jangan berubah, tetapi ambil

Seorang wanita harus bisa menerima dirinya sendiri apa adanya, dan mencintai dirinya sendiri. Jika dia tidak, yang lain tidak akan bisa jatuh cinta padanya.

  • Dewan nomor 7 - Penolakan kimia
